As soon as I figure out how to use it. Which will be soon. Well, I've taken three vacations since my last post, so I just wanted to talk about those a little bit.

First of all, I went to Utah to visit my older sister Jamie and her family. She had just had their second son, Dallen, so I was there partly to help out and partly cause I MISS THEM! We had a lot of fun just being together, and I got to spend some time with Michael Wiltbank who I know from my EA days. I loved being there, besides the freak rainstorm I was caught in on my way into Orem.

Second, I went to Minnesota with my friend Barbara. It was my first time ever, and I LOVED IT! Minnesota is beautiful, with so much water and greenery, and I loved the architecture of the older homes that were like big plantation homes. We went to the Komo Zoo, spent way too much time and money at the Mall of America (c'mon, everything's right there, and there isn't any tax on clothes in Minnesota! How can you justify not buying stuff there?), visited their farmers market, and the big highlight, was the Minnesota State Fair. It's huge, and we spent an entire drizzly day there, eating fried things on sticks and seeing tons of animals. It was a blast!

Third, on September 19-24, I flew to Denver CO to visit my bestest friend, Rebecca (Nelson) Cluff and her husband Reid. Rebecca is my all time best friend, who I met in high school, and I hadn't seen her in about a year, I think, so it was time to visit. They actually live in Colorado Springs, but they drove to Denver to pick me up, and then we spent the first day exploring downtown Denver. We later explored downtown Colorado Springs, and Old Colorado Springs, enjoying all the little shops along the street. Reid took us on a tour of the Penrose House, where he works, which is a part of the Broadmoor Hotel, the first 5 star hotel in Colorado. It was beautiful, and actually very interesting. Colorado is another state that was just so pretty to be in, I wanted to be outside constantly! The highlight of this trip, was a concert called "Beautiful Girls" that Reid got free tickets too through his job. It's a musical revue of songs by Stephen Sondheim that have to do with a woman's journey through life. The best part was that Sondheim was THERE! He got up at the end of the concert to accept an award. My picture of him isn't very good in quality, but I love it, because I know it's him!

As soon as I learn how to put pictures on here, I'll post a few from each of these trips. I have more to write as well, so I promise, there will be more!

New Aunt Karin!

My older sister, Jamie, just had my second nephew! I just had to get a little excited about it! I love babies so much. His name is Dallen Scott Taylor, and everything went smoothly with the delivery. I get to go up to Orem Utah from August 2nd-5th to help out with the baby, and spend some time with my sister and her family. Woo hoo!

In other exciting vacationing news...Barbara and I are going to Minnesota August 20th-25th! If you know me at all, you'll know that I LOVE taking vacations...so much that I sometimes take them without actually having the money to do so. Last summer I burnt all my money on tons of trips. I had an amazing summer, but a hard time making ends meet when I got back to school. So, I haven't taken any trips this summer, except down to the valley to see my family, so I was super excited when Barb invited me to Minnesota! I've never been, and I've wanted to go since the 4th grade, because I had a crush on my teacher and he was from Minnesota. Maybe we'll bump into him! :0) Anyway, super excited about finally getting to take some trips! As much as I love Flagstaff, especially in the summer, I'm in great need of some time away from here, and for some things to take my mind off my current situation.

The beginning of the blogging

Well, this is my first time doing this. It's probably going to be pretty boring, just to warn you, because I'm single and I don't have that much to say or do. Maybe I'll find something to put on here though, or at least I can look really hard for the good things in my life! I was just so jealous of everyone else and their blog spots...so I want one too! I'll write something slightly more interesting soon.
